The intersections between research, policy and practice have been a frequent focus of researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, but the frustrations of the relationship have been the source of extensive friction between different communities. How can we conceptualise the relationships between research, policy and practice, and what are the implications, particularly, for practitioner researchers?
